According to the National Statistics on Sexual Violence, one in four women and one in six men will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime. 
"43% of victims did not report because they thought that nothing could be done, 27% thought it was a private matter, 12% were afraid of the police response, and 12% felt it was not important enough to report."
In communities with people of color revealing and discussing their assault with friends, family members, and police officials tends to be a difficult for the victims. 
These three Syracuse University students discuss their assaults and their thoughts on women of color being assaulted.
